- Legal advice to the Client in the process of acquisition of land plots and relevant equipment through the acquisition of a Kazakh construction company. The acquired assets will be further used to develop energy projects in the Caspian region.
- Legal advice on the development of the historic first in Kazakhstan renewable energy project aimed at developing the regulatory framework, improving the auction (tender) process and enabling competitively tendered renewables projects in Kazakhstan.
- Representation of the largest company specializing in design and construction of optical fiber communication lines and water supply networks in the court proceedings against tax authorities on appealing the notification on tax audit results on total cost USD 716 000
- Drafting contract on design and delivery of the equipment and materials and construction “on a turn-key basis” according to the standard contracts of the International Federation of Civil Engineers (FIDIC);
- Legal consulting with a major Turkish construction company during negotiations with the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications on the conclusion of contracts on reconstructing an airport in Astana and roads in different regions of Kazakhstan;
- Representation of interests of large construction company in court concerning dispute with subcontractor on scope of work and estimated costs;
- Representation of the client in negotiations with Almaty state authorities over the illegal expropriation of land for state needs;
- Provision of legal advice to the client – an oil company – on the acquisition of land plots for an operational base in the Aktobe Region the management of the whole process ranged from giving advice on transaction documents to filing applications for permissive documents;
- Provision of legal advice to client – an oil-producing company – with regard to the registration of servitude for agricultural land in the Mangystau Region for pipeline construction, including representation to state authorities and in courts;
- Legal advice for large construction company in court regarding dispute with tax authorities on accuracy of CIT and VAT charges;
- Landlord and tenant dispute – a claim by a tenant on the termination of a lease contract due to failure to provide agreed upon office conditions, resulting in cessation of several years of lease with the potential exposure of more than $1.2 million in direct losses;
- Legal advice for large European construction company in dispute with environment agency, resulting in essential decrease of penalties and impositions;
- Customs case for ~$1.5 million between construction company and the state.
- Legal assistance in obtaining all permissive documentation for large contractor on the Caspian Sea for construction of artificial island and camp;
