SIGNUM lawyers in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Central Asia Corporate Governance Project arrange the workshop “RISK MANAGEMENT AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS” designed for Members of Board of Directors/Supervisory Boards, CEOs, corporate secretaries, and other executives of public and private companies, as well as public sector (statutory) corporations.
The workshop will take place on 9-10 December, 2010 in Hyatt Hotel and will be devoted to the practical examination of actual issues related to emerging markets with the tools needed for effective oversight of the risk-taking in their firms. It seeks to enhance the risk oversight structures, processes and competence of boards. Workshop will cover highly interactive sessions drawing heavily on the experiences of the participants and on “real life” events from which risk governance lessons can be drawn. It takes a non-quantitative approach focusing on the oversight role to be taken by a director.
The workshop will be held by two international experts, Doctor Oliviero Roggi, Chairperson, International Risk Management Conference, Corporate Finance Professor at University of Florence, Visiting Professor NYU Stern Salomon, and Professor Torben Andersen, Professor of Strategy and International Management at the Copenhagen Business School.
