The Litigation Lawyers have Successfully Settled Legal Proceedings for Debt Collection under Construction Contracts for the Client

The SIGNUM lawyers have successfully represented the interests of the Client, who is a major uranium producer, in the court proceedings on debt collection and court expenses.

Our lawyers have effectively reversed the order on the indisputable demand for the fulfillment of obligations under construction contract, and proved that there is a law dispute between the parties. We would also like to note that at the time the order was cancelled, the amount had already been recovered from the Client’s bank accounts unilaterally by a private enforcement officer.

Following the cancellation of the court order, the Client’s contractor applied to the South Kazakhstan region SIEC with claims for debt collection and respective court expenses of USD 200,000. Upon completion of complex court proceedings, the court dismissed the contractor’s claim for the debt collection and recovery of the court expenses.

After the first instance court decision came into legal force, our lawyers applied for reversal of the judicial act and succeeded in such reversal, which, in turn, means the return of funds previously collected under the court order.
