Key Recent Labor Law Changes (effective from 16 May 2020):
Electronic employment contracts using EDS introduced;
No termination of employment contracts is allowed without prior notice of employees and their prior consent;
Access to a unified system of employment contracts is open to obtain records on employees' work experience and employment contracts concluded;
No discrimination set in salaries and other employment terms;
Entitlement to part-time work if employee is looking after a disabled family member;
Pregnant women working on a rotational basis shall be transferred to a five-day or six-day working week (temporary) at terms not worse than at average salary for the previous work;
Fixed-term military service or military training shall be count at working place;
If night work coincide with a holiday or a weekend, payment is made separately for night shift and for work at holidays/weekends;
Secondment of employees is allowed within a group of companies, i.e. between parent, subsidiary and sister legal entities with direct or indirect participation;
Secondment of employees to replace the terminated workforce is prohibited;
All companies are obliged to have their own conciliation commissions (except for microentrepreneurs and non-profit organizations with less than 15 employees);
Three months limitation period is set to submit the court claim for re-employment disputes.
