SIGNUM lawyers in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Central Asia Corporate Governance Project arrange the workshop “RISK GOVERNANCE SERIES: THE BOARD’S RESPONSE TO CRISIS” designed for members of Board of Directors/Supervisory Boards, CEOs, CFOs.
The workshop will take place on February 2, 2010 in Hyatt Regency and will be devoted to the practical examination of actual issues related to crisis conditions, efficient organization of activity of the companies during the current economic downturn and prevention of the impacts of future crisis on their businesses. Workshop will cover types and sources of crisis and how to spot them early on, possible consequences of crisis in emerging countries, responsibilities and responses of board members during a crisis, the role of the board in preventing crisis.
The workshop will be held by two international experts, Professor Ulrich Steger, who has worked for the IMD International in Switzerland (International Institute for Management Development) in the area of corporate governance, leading IMD’s Board Program and Doctor Christoph Nedopil who had been a Research Associate at IMD International for more than three years and has been engaged in academic and business research as well as in the development of numerous executive education programs.
