SIGNUM became the only Kazakhstan law counsel on the development of the historic first in Kazakhstan renewable energy project

Kazakhstan awards the first site-specific wind power auctions for 100 and 50MW resulted in the lowest ever prices for new wind energy in the country.

We are proud to share the news on successful completion by SIGNUM of its mission as the only Kazakhstan law counsel on the development of the historic first in Kazakhstan renewable energy project aimed at developing the regulatory framework, improving the auction (tender) process and enabling competitively tendered renewables projects in Kazakhstan.

This project is joint efforts of the Government of Kazakhstan and the EBRD, acting through a consortium of advisers. SIGNUM team was led by our partner Gaukhar Kudaibergenova and included associates Ulan Stybayev and Doszhan Kassymbekov.
