On 29 April, 2016 SIGNUM Took Part in Kun Lun Association Seminar on Taxation Matters

On 29 April, 2016 SIGNUM Partners Sofiya Zhylkaidarova, Liza Zhumakhmetova and Talgat Sariev took part in Kun Lun Association Seminar.

Seminar was held in Almaty and agenda included the following topics:

– Oil and gas sector in terms of the crisis. Past, present and future;

– Joint Tax and Customs Code. Development Trends;

– Pending issues of taxation in the sphere of subsoil use;

– Digital VAT invoices;

– Practical aspects of international taxation;

– Overview of major changes to legislation in 2016.

Talgat Sariev delivered presentation on «Recent Changes in Court Proceedings Legislation» which prompted a rather interesting and interactive discussion among audience. In his presentation, Mr. Sariev covered, among others, main amendments to the civil-procedural legislation such as court proceedings stages, definition and jurisdiction of investment disputes and pros and cons in part of investment disputes, which were rather topical and important issues for lawyers and experts.
