Olzhas advises international and Kazakhstan clients on corporate law, M&A, subsoil use and corporate registration matters. His experience includes conducting legal due diligence of mining and oil and gas assets, supporting corporate changes and handling registration procedures.
Selected Experience
Mining Projects and M&A. Assisted with the legal due diligence of a company holding a 100% interest in a major copper-porphyry development project in the Karaganda Region in connection with a potential acquisition by a Chinese investor.
Mining Joint Ventures. Assisted with the legal due diligence of a Kazakhstan copper mining company for a Chinese investor in connection with a contemplated joint venture.
Oil and Gas Assets. Assisted with the legal due diligence of a Kazakhstan subsoil user operating in the oil and gas sector in connection with a contemplated acquisition by a Chinese investor.
Corporate Governance. Assisted with the change of management of a construction company, including the appointment of a non-resident General Director.
Corporate Changes. Assisted with the change of management of a major European food and goods delivery company.
Pledge Registration. Provided legal support to a Swiss company engaged in wholesale trading of oil, natural gas, metals and other commodities in connection with the registration and deregistration of pledges.
