Malika is a Associate at SIGNUM whose practice focuses on tax, employment and labour law, corporate matters and subsoil use. She advises international and Kazakhstan clients on tax compliance, employment documentation, corporate governance and the establishment and ongoing operation of legal entities in Kazakhstan.
Her experience includes preparing legal and regulatory memoranda, assessing corporate and tax risks, drafting internal employment documentation and supporting clients with incorporations, registrations, re-registrations and liquidations of companies, branches and representative offices.

Market Entry and Corporate Establishment. Participated in the incorporation of a limited liability partnership and the opening of corporate bank accounts for a well-known European engineering group.
Corporate Governance and Management Changes. Advised a major international automotive brand on the corporate procedure for appointing a new General Director and changing the registered address of its Kazakhstan subsidiary.
Corporate and Compliance Support. Advised a rapidly growing international retail and logistics group on corporate and compliance matters, including the preparation of a legal memorandum assessing risks related to charter capital and comprehensive support for the replacement of the General Director.
Branch Establishment for an Energy Company. Participated in the comprehensive legal support for the establishment and state registration of a Kazakhstan branch of a major international provider of energy storage systems.
Tax and Regulatory Risk Assessments. Prepared legal and regulatory memoranda for international corporate clients on tax compliance, liability arising from incomplete payment of charter capital contributions and other regulatory risks.
Regulated Business Establishment. Advised on the legal framework applicable to the establishment and operation of audit firms and other regulated businesses in Kazakhstan.
Employment Termination. Participated in the preparation of employment termination documentation by mutual agreement in accordance with Kazakhstan law, including termination notices and mutual termination agreements.
Employment Policies and Internal Regulations. Assisted clients with drafting and reviewing internal employment policies, regulations and other HR-related documentation.
Corporate Registrations and Restructuring. Assisted with the registration, re-registration and liquidation of legal entities, as well as branches and representative offices of foreign companies.
